Thermaloy® is thermal-activated nickel titanium that is pliable for easy ligation at room temperature transitioning to superelastic at open mouth temperature. It delivers lighter forces than Orthonol® or Thermaloy® Plus and is often used in severe malocclusions so the doctor can shape the arch wire prior accordingly for the required fit in the mouth.
